Newport Aquarium Field Trip

Our Trip started at 8:30 am with our friends the Gourley's.  Yes you counted right 2 Mommies and 8 Children.  We had so much fun!  Our family or at least my boys and I had been there before, but it had been over 4 years, so many things were the same, but there were so many new things, that it was like seeing it for the first time!

Well after several hours of looking at the fishs and then eating pizza or by the looks of some faces, the pizza eating the kids.  We decided to leave at 5:30 pm.  Below is some more pictures, hope you enjoy and maybe take a trip yourself!  You won't regret it!

Nathaniel's Birthday

We had a great time celebrating Nathaniel's 9th Birthday! We had Aunt Shellie & Aunt Dana up from Kentucky for Breakfast at Denny's, then mom and Aunt Dana decorated the "LEGO Indiana Jones" cake while Aunt Shellie wrapped last minute gifts and kept Hannah and Starla busy. (Don't know what I would do without my sister's)

We went to church and some friends joined in the Indiana Jones Freeze Tag and tape the whip on the LEGO Jones games. Then we enjoyed Devils Food Chocolate Cake (yes at church) and lemonade.

Then opened presents and started putting together LEGO things. Thanks to all who were able to come!!

Ice/Snow Storm of 2011!!

Yes we had Ice, then rain, then snow, then ice.....  Enough for local schools and business' to close for two days.  Well that is the great thing about Homeschool is we don't get "snow days" which may seem bad until you consider we also don't have to make them up!!  Which means we get out earlier for SUMMER!!!  The kids had PE time outside with dad today sledding in the back yard!!  All had fun, even Dad!!
